14 June 2024 (Friday) - The Laboratory Management Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BPMU) was honored to receive a visit from the delegation of the Science Officers Group (K-Sains) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for the management of science services.

The delegation from K-Sains, UKM was led by Ms. Lily Khairiah Kadaruddin, Head of the Science Service Scheme, and Ms. Hir Yanti Md Tahir, Science Officer C54. The delegation also included representatives from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Faculty of Pharmacy (FFar), Tuanku Mukhriz Chancellor Hospital (HCTM), Micro & Nanoelectronics Engineering Institute (IMEN), Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Systems Biology Institute (INBIOSIS), Natural & Physical Laboratory Management Center (ALAF-UKM), and the Occupational Safety & Health Risk Management Center (ROSH-UKM).

The objective of this visit was to build networks and establish collaborations related to science services between universities, as well as to share best practices concerning science services and laboratory management among institutions.

In conclusion, it is hoped that this working visit will benefit both parties, UPM and UKM, and help achieve the targeted objectives, while also strengthening the network and collaboration between Scheme C.
