On 26 June 2024 (Wednesday), the Task Force Committee (JKTF) under the Laboratory Management Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BPMU) held a Sharing Session on the Management of Herbicides, Insects, and Fungi in Relation to Plants. The session took place from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the Lecture Room, Vegetable Unit, Putra Agricultural Center. A total of 25 participants, consisting of officers and assistant officers, attended the session.

The main objective of this sharing session was to gain knowledge and experience in the management of pesticides in plant care. Additionally, participants were able to enhance their technical knowledge through practical activities conducted in the field. Furthermore, sharing experiences among participants regarding plant care was also a key objective of this session.

At 9:00 am, the main agenda began with a theoretical sharing session on herbicides, insects, and fungi in relation to plants, presented by the speaker, Mr. Saiyyidina Hamzah Muhammad@Mamat, Agricultural Officer at the Putra Agricultural Center. This was followed by a practical field session, during which Mr. Saiyyidina Hamzah Muhammad@Mamat emphasized explanations about pesticides, methods of usage, and effective application techniques, assisted by Mr. Khairul Aslim Abdul Rauf.

In conclusion, it is hoped that the Sharing Session on the Management of Herbicides, Insects, and Fungi in Relation to Plants will provide benefits and new knowledge to all participants involved.
