15 October 2025, Wednesday – The Task Force Committee for Training and Competency Management of Scheme C under the Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held a Sharing Session on Basic Plant Tissue Culture Techniques on October 15, 2025. The session was conducted at the Tongkat Ali Emas Room, Institute of Bioscience, and lasted for four hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This sharing session aimed to provide laboratory staff with hands-on experience in basic plant tissue culture techniques and to enhance specific scientific knowledge through the exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences among laboratory staff at UPM. The session was divided into two parts: a theoretical session on basic plant tissue culture techniques and a demonstration and practical session. The theoretical session was delivered by Mrs. Julia Abdul Aziz, while the demonstration and practical session were assisted by Mr. Muhammad Amri Putra Safhee. The demonstration and practical session covered media preparation demonstrations and subculture practicals. A total of 20 participants, comprising Science Officers and Assistant Science Officers, took part in this sharing session.
