28th August 2025, Thursday - The Task Force Comittee on Training and Competency Management for Scheme C under the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), UPM organized a Briefing on the Handling of Chemical and Biological Spills on 28th August. The two hours briefing was conducted online via the Zoom Meeting platform. The main objective of this training was to enable laboratory staff to learn and understand safe methods for handling chemical and biological spills in the laboratory, apply this knowledge in their daily tasks, and help improve laboratory services through best practices. The briefing began at approximately 10:00 a.m. and was delivered by Mr. Mohd Azman Ahmad, a Science Officer from the Occupational Safety and Health Management Office. At least 224 participants attended the session.
