24 July 2024, Wednesday – The Task Force Committee (JKTF) for Training and Competency of Scheme C under the Laboratory Management Division (BPMU) organized another training session for Scheme C science staff, titled "Briefing on the Safe Handling of Compressed Gas Cylinders, Liquid Nitrogen, and Autoclaves." This briefing was held online via Zoom Meeting for three and a half hours, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The purpose of this briefing was to enable laboratory staff to understand the methods for safely handling compressed gas cylinders. Additionally, it aimed to raise awareness and reduce the risk of accidents.

The session began with a presentation on the safe handling of compressed gas cylinders and liquid nitrogen by Ms. Norhaszalina Md. Isa, followed by a question-and-answer session. Then, Ms. Arba’ah Md. Salleh continued with a presentation on the safe handling of autoclaves, concluding with another Q&A session with the participants. A total of 262 participants attended this online briefing.
