6 May 2025, Tuesday – The first Science Service Scheme (C) training for the 2025 calendar year, titled Biosafety and Biosecurity Briefing, was conducted by the Training and Competency Management Task Force Committee for Scheme C under the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), UPM. The main objective of this briefing was to enable laboratory staff to understand the importance of biosafety and biosecurity, apply their knowledge in relevant fields, and help ensure its implementation in accordance with established regulations. The briefing, held online via the Zoom application, was delivered by a Science Officer from the Office of Occupational Safety and Health Management, Mr. Mohd Azman Ahmad. A total of 210 participants, comprising UPM staff and representatives from external agencies, attended the two-hour briefing session.
