14 August 2025, Thursday – The Task Force Committee for Training and Competency Management under Scheme C, under the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), organized the Basic Laboratory Equipment Verification Workshop Series 2 2025 on August 14.This one-day workshop was held at Tongkat Ali Emas Room, Level 4, Institute of Bioscience (IBS), from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.The objective of the workshop was to enable laboratory staff to understand the importance of verifying basic laboratory equipment, to identify equipment that requires verification, and to learn the correct methods for conducting such verifications.The workshop began with an introductory briefing on the basic concepts of calibration and equipment verification by Mr. Rafiuz Zaman Haroun. The program then continued with a hands-on practical session.This practical session was divided into three parts: mass, temperature, and volume verification. Each session was facilitated by Ms. Nurnazeera Zulkefli, Ms. Emi Nadia Mohd Thani, and Ms. Norhaszalina Md. Isa, respectively.A total of 45 participants took part in this workshop.
