12 June 2025, Thursday - the Task Force Committee (JKTF) for Training and Competency Management of Scheme C under the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU) conducted its second training for the 2025 calendar — the Basic Laboratory Equipment Verification Workshop Series 1/2025.The workshop, held at the Institute of Bioscience (IBS), was attended by at least 45 participants from the Science Service Scheme (C).The main objective of this workshop was to enable laboratory staff to understand the importance of verifying basic laboratory equipment, to identify equipment that requires verification, and to learn the correct methods for carrying out equipment verification.The workshop was divided into two sessions: theory and practical.For the theory session, a presentation on the Fundamental Concepts of Calibration and Equipment Verification was delivered by the speaker, Mr. Rafiuz Zaman Haroun.The practical session, which covered verification of mass, temperature, and volume, was guided by three facilitators: Ms. Nurnazeera Zulkefli, Ms. Emi Nadia Mohd Thani, and Ms. Norhaszalina Md. Isa.
