21 May 2024 - The Task Force Committee for Training Management and Competency of Scheme C under the Laboratory Management Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BPMU) held the Basic Laboratory Equipment Verification Workshop Series 1 2024.

The workshop took place in the Tongkat Ali Emas Room, Level 4, Institute of Biosciences (IBS) and was attended by 45 participants. The objective of this workshop was to enable laboratory staff to understand the importance of verifying basic laboratory equipment, identify the equipment that needs to be verified, and learn the correct methods for performing verification of basic laboratory equipment.

The workshop began with a theoretical presentation on the basic concepts of measurement/verification delivered by Mr. Rafiuz Zaman Haroun. This was followed by three practical sessions on the verification of mass, temperature, and pH meters, conducted by facilitators Ms. Nurnazeera Zulkefli, Mr. Azmi Mohd Amban, and Ms. Julia Abdul Aziz.
